Metallica will keep their M72 World Tour rolling into 2027 with 12 newly announced North American stadium concerts. Limp Bizkit and Avatar will support the run, which spans May 8 through June 19.
Unlike many previous M72 stops built around the band’s two-show “No Repeat Weekend” format, each of the newly confirmed dates will be a standalone concert. Metallica will retain the tour’s in-the-round production, with the stage positioned at the 50-yard line and the Snake Pit in its center.
The 2027 North American leg begins May 8 at BC Place in Vancouver. Metallica will then head south for stops in San Diego, El Paso and San Antonio before visiting Fayetteville, Arkansas; Kansas City; Raleigh; Indianapolis; Buffalo; Madison, Wisconsin and Cleveland. The run concludes June 19 at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City.
The dates extend an M72 World Tour that began in April 2023 in support of 72 Seasons. Metallica played the tour’s 99th show in 26 countries when they wrapped their 2026 European run in London in July.
Before returning to stadiums next spring, Metallica will stage their Life Burns Faster residency at Sphere in Las Vegas. The band previously extended the residency into 2027, with the run currently scheduled to conclude in March.
Metallica’s Fifth Member fan club presale for the newly announced M72 dates begins Monday, September 21 at 10 a.m. local time. Citi cardmembers and eligible Verizon customers will gain presale access on Tuesday, September 22. Remaining tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, September 25 at 10 a.m. local time.
Enhanced Experiences, Snake Pit tickets, travel packages and the returning I Disappear Ticket, which grants access to every M72 2027 North American show, will also be available.
