Severe storms tore through Chicago on Thursday night when Mumford & Sons were set to headline a concert at Chicago’s Wrigley Field. Mumford & Sons eventually took the stage at the Friendly Confines nearly two hours late and brought out members of Caamp and Dylan Gossett for separate appearances after each act’s support sets were canceled due to the weather.

The gates were originally set to open at 5 p.m. When the storm’s arrival became imminent and a tornado watch flared up, Mumford & Sons took to social media to announce gates had been delayed to 8:30, the show would begin at 10 and Dylan Gossett and Caamp would no longer perform their scheduled sets.

While the gates did open at 8:30, the show didn’t wind up starting until 10:45. However, Mumford & Sons did perform their full 24-song concert with the band leaving the stage at approximately 12:30 a.m. The stadium was still full despite the late show time.

Marcus Mumford and his bandmates invited Dylan Gossett out towards the end of their main set. Gossett accompanied Mumford & Sons on “Here,” a song from the British trio’s new album Prizefighter. At one point Marcus took advantage of the large stadium by running into the crowd and around Wrigley to sing “Ditmas.”

Mumford & Sons moved to the B-Stage after the main set for a three-song interlude. The alternate stage portion of the show concluded with Caamp leading a performance of their song “All The Debts I Owe,” a Mumford & Sons debut. Longtime collaborator Rob Moose emerged during the encore to add violin to the Prizefighter track “The Banjo Song.”
